The East 1488 CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a Texas 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized to assist residents in the East 1488 corridor before, during and following emergencies or disasters when professional responders are not immediately available. CERT training provides the skills needed to organize and respond. Members of East 1488 CERT include both CERT-trained and non-CERT trained residents that live within and outside of the East 1488 corridor; group members are communities within and outside the East 1488 corridor.
Risk factors for residents of Montgomery County include, but are not limited to, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, wildfires, chemical leaks and spills and acts of terrorism. East 1488 CERT sponsors events and presentations to provide residents in the East 1488 area information that will allow them to meet the challenges they will face following these events as well as personal disasters.
East 1488 CERT facilitates CERT courses that are provided by the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. We also promote Continuing Education opportunities.
Your safety is our priority. East 1488 CERT provides preparedness information before and responds during and following disasters when emergency personnel are not immediately available.
